Proposed Bylaws Revision

The NFA Board of Directors has proposed a Bylaws revision to update the procedure for board elections.
Summary of Proposed Bylaws Changes - 2019

  1. Change in mail-in ballot deadline from July 31 to July 25, due to earlier convention dates.
  2. Change from election to ratification for the positions of Vice President and Assistant Secretary. All officers and board members will now be presented to the membership for ratification. 

A comparison of the current text and the proposed revisions has been posted online. The current Bylaws can be found at any time on the Organizational Documents page under “The Organization” tab on the NFA website.

The ballot for ratification will be included with the board election ballot. Voting opens July 1 and closes at 5:00 p.m. (MDT) on August 3. We will announce the election results during the 2019 convention closing ceremonies and in the Fall issue of The Flutist Quarterly.
