‘Flutes at the Barns’ courses are for adults looking to participate fully in three days of flute playing activities in an idyllic English countryside setting – the course is open to players of any experience and ability. The courses have a friendly feel, providing an atmosphere where participants can get together to make music and share ideas; on-site accommodation is comfortable and luxurious and all participants are accommodated individually. The busy programme of musical activities includes an individual lesson with Zoe Booth for each participant, flute choir sessions, rehearsal time with Rachael Buxton (professional accompanist), trio and quartet coaching, musical and discussion workshops and warm-up sessions featuring hints and tips on all aspects of how to improve your playing! There are also opportunities for individuals to take part in a masterclass, play piccolo, alto or bass flutes and/or perform in one of the informal concerts. Nervous players can be assured that there is no pressure to perform and they will find the course entirely non-challenging and supportive! All course activities, accommodation and the wonderful meals and refreshments - provided by our in-house cook Jacci – are included in the course fee. International participants welcome, as ever! Now in its’ eighth successful year, join Flutes at the Barns in 2010 as we celebrate our 20th happy course in the UK!
