THROW DOWN of the LOW DOWN

Record Setting Low Flutes Ensemble

All low flutists are invited to perform in the Throw Down of the Low Down (record setting low flutes ensemble) at the 2018 NFA Convention in Orlando. Low flutes includes flutes of all shapes and sizes that speak lower than a concert flute, including alto flutes, bass flutes, contr’alto flutes, contrabass flutes, sub contrabass flutes and double contrabass flutes. Conducted by Paige Dashner Long, the ensemble will premiere a new piece composed specifically for this event, Greg Lutz’s “The Terrible Tubes Take Over the Town.” 

All low flutists registered for the convention are welcome to join in on the fun, but must commit to two rehearsals and a warm up.

Rehearsals will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando:
     Thursday August 9, 7:15-8:15pm, Bayhill 21-22
     Friday August 10, 8:30-9:30am, Bayhill 21-22
Warm Up, Friday August 10, 6:40-7:00pm, Regency R-S
Performance, Friday August 10, during the Gala Concert beginning 8:00pm, Regency O-P-Q.
