Jazz Committee

Our Mission

The Jazz Committee seeks to celebrate and promote jazz flute as a unique voice within the broader jazz community, providing opportunities for performance, education, and collaboration. We are dedicated to supporting jazz flutists at all levels, fostering an appreciation of jazz flute through events, resources, and mentorship programs, and expanding the presence of jazz flute in both traditional and contemporary jazz settings.

Competitions

The NFA offers multiple jazz competitions, including the Jazz Artist Competition, Jazz Flute Masterclass, and Jazz Flute Big Band Competition. These competitions provide jazz flutists the opportunity to showcase their talent, gain recognition, and receive mentorship from established jazz musicians.
