The information below is for the (now closed) 2024 scholarship and is for reference only. Information for the 2025 scholarship will be made available in the spring.
If you'd like to attend the 2024 NFA Convention but can't afford the registration, you're invited to apply for a scholarship.
The NFA is offering registration scholarships for flutists with financial limitations.
Registration scholarships cover all or part of the convention registration fee. Priority will be given to students and those
who would be otherwise unable to attend the convention.
Non-members may apply but, if selected, will be required to purchase an NFA membership (students will receive a discounted student membership rate of $27.50).
Flutists who have already registered for the convention are not eligible to receive a scholarship.
To protect the privacy of applicants and recipients, application information is confidential and is not released to the public.
This application closed on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024
Applications are reviewed by a panel of flute professionals using the following criteria:
Stated need for a registration scholarship (why you are applying for a scholarship)
Clear goals for convention attendance (what you hope to accomplish by attending the convention and how it will help you achieve your goals as a flutist)
Completeness of application (all questions answered clearly)
Funds for the 2024 registration scholarship program are provided by the Thomas Mease Endowment Fund and the NFA General Endowment Fund.
