Use of Yoga Techniques in Flute Playing

Yoga can be used to help with releasing tension in the body, developing a mindfulness practice, and bringing focus to daily tasks. This session explores the application of these yoga techniques to flute-playing, specifically in breathing (pranayama), preventing performance injuries, and dealing with performance anxiety. We'll explore incorporating these exercises into daily routines used in practice sessions and performances. Attendees will develop a toolkit of exercises, mindfulness techniques, and knowledge of their bodies.
