Lauren (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Oregon and a Master of Music degree from the University of Wyoming in Saxophone Performance. While she is a trained musician, much of her career experience is in sales, customer service, and arts administration. She received both a Master of Science degree in Arts Administration (Performing Arts Concentration) and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Oregon. Her research focused on ways in which symphony orchestras of the Pacific Northwest engaged under-represented communities.
As a Development Associate with Oregon Ballet Theatre she managed donor relations, grassroots and online fundraising, and planned events—most notably planning their 2020 Fundraising Gala “The (Sleeping) Beauty Ball” at the Portland Art Museum. Lauren comes to the NFA from her most recent position as Operations & Community Programs Director with Chamber Music Northwest (CMNW). During her time at CMNW, she directly oversaw all logistical aspects and artist relations for their Year-Round Season and 5-week Summer Festival. She also grew their Education & Community Engagement programs to reach thousands of people annually and implemented many educational and student performance opportunities throughout Portland and beyond.
When she's not working, Lauren loves to travel, read, cook, and spend time with her husband, Tim, and two cats, Billie and Tonks. She is overjoyed to join the amazing NFA team and to support their incredible work throughout the country!
