Each year, the National Flute Association honors the best and the brightest of its colleagues with our annual Achievement Awards.
For the 2027 nomination cycle, in addition to the Lifetime Achievement and Distinguished Service Awards, we are thrilled to introduce three additional awards to recognize educators, flute choirs, and those who nurture and support a thriving global flute community. These new awards will be presented annually at the convention's opening ceremony, beginning with the 2027 (Minneapolis) convention.
"I’m thrilled that the National Flute Association will introduce three new awards, the Mark Thomas Founder’s Award, the Flute Choir Award, and the Educator Award, beginning at the 2027 Convention," says NFA President Jennifer Grim. "This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize individuals at every stage of their musical and personal journey who are making a meaningful difference in their communities, and I encourage you to submit nominations to help us celebrate those whose impact deserves to be seen and shared."
Make a Nomination: Recipients are chosen through a nominations process, in which NFA members submit nominations through an online form. Nominations are due by May 3, 2026 at 11:59pm CT.
