We're pleased to announce that Jennifer Clarke has joined the NFA staff as executive director.
"I’m so impressed with the work the National Flute Association is doing to support and enrich flutists’ lives and opportunities in these challenging times," she says, "and look forward to being part of the organization’s innovative and inclusive future."
Jennifer has extensive experience in leadership and management of non-profit arts institutions, most recently as executive director of Associated Chamber Music Players (ACMP) and the ACMP Foundation. She has also worked with Symphony Space, Chamber Music America, New York City Arts in Education Roundtable, the American Music Center, the Royal Festival Hall, and London Sinfonietta, among others. A consultant to many arts organizations, Jennifer has served on grant review panels for the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and has presented on panels for Chorus America, Chamber Music America, Yale University, and others. She is also founder and executive director of Melodia Women’s Choir of New York City. Jennifer has a B.A. in Music and English from Bretton Hall College (Leeds University), UK, and an M.A. in Arts Management Studies from New York University.
"We are very excited that Jennifer has accepted our offer to become the executive director of the NFA," says NFA president Penny Zent.
