Insights Into Excellence Special Lecture Series: Trudy Kane

Join us for conversation and insights hosted by Trudy Kane, former Principal Flute at the Metropolitan Opera and Professor of Flute at the Frost School of Music from 2008-2019. Trudy Kane is a recipient of the NFA’s 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Admission is included with convention registration. In past years, this event was known as "Flute Lovers Lunch."

Start your day with a conversation with Mark Sparks, former Principal Flutist of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, faculty member of Chicago’s DePaul University and the Aspen Music Festival and School.

Admission is included with convention registration. In past years, this event was known as "Food for the Day's Journey."

Come enjoy a drink and celebrate the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients! This annual event will honor Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Trudy Kane and David Straubinger, and Distinguished Service Award recipient Leonard Garrison. The celebration will include hors-d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and live music.
