You are invited to participate in the Exhibitor Concert at the 2019 National Flute Association Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The concert will be held on Friday August 2 at 6:00pm in 251AD in the Salt Palace Convention Center. Rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday August 1, 6:30-8:30pm, also in 251AD. You will be supplied with a speaking microphone, music stands and 5’ grand piano. Additional Audio Visual equipment will have to be ordered by you at your expense from the AV company.
This concert allows bona fide employees (but not adjunct clinicians or endorsed artists) or owners of exhibiting companies the opportunity to participate in an NFA performance event. Any such employee working at least 75% of the regular workweek with an exhibiting company may apply. Performances must be 7 minutes or less. Adjunct clinicians and endorsed artists are NOT allowed to perform on this concert (they may play in Exhibitor Showcases). The only exception is for non-flutist composers who work as exhibitors, who may engage non-exhibiting artists (who may coincidentally be endorsed artists or clinicians) to showcase their work.
Please provide the information requested on the online form and respond prior to August 15, 2019. A current 300-character biography for all performers and composers that will be in attendance at the convention must be included. Past biographies are not retained.
Space is available on a first come, first served basis.NOTE:
Work(s) to be performed will be reviewed for approval by the NFA and/or its designates. The NFA reserves the right to request additional information, request that another piece be performed, or decline participation. Performers are required to adhere to a 7-minute time limit and will not be allowed to substitute repertoire without advance notice and approval of the new selection.
