The Masterclass Performers Competition will select three college flutists to perform in masterclasses during the 2021 NFA Convention. This competition is open to any flutist who has been a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, university, or conservatory during the 2020-2021 academic year.
All entrants must submit their entry, upload recordings/supplemental materials, and pay competition and membership fees by 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time, Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
Each piece should be uploaded as a separate file in the following order. All uploaded files must be audio recordings. No videos are allowed.
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, all repertoire must be recorded without piano accompaniment.
Each entrant must include three choices for masterclass repertoire, in order of preference, to perform should they be selected as a winner of the competition. Titles, movements, composer names, composer’s dates, and exact timings must be included with your competition entry. Participants will be bound by their original selections.
