CALL FOR PROPOSALS | Perform or Present at the Next NFA Convention!

Adult Amateur Competition

The Adult Amateur Competition is open to any person who engages in the pursuit of flute playing on an unpaid basis and who is not currently enrolled as a student at a university. Three winners (one from each category of repertoire) will be selected to perform in an online masterclass for a prominent teacher. The purpose is to engage a broader range of the amateur flutist population in the NFA.

Applicants may enter one category per year.  Winners in the Novice and Intermediate categories may enter a more difficult category in the future, but winners of any category are ineligible to compete in that category again.

Competition Requirements*

  • All flutists must be current NFA members at the time the entry is submitted. To join or renew, go to nfaonline.org/signup
