Adult Flutist & Amateur Resources Committee

"A place for adult flutists to learn, grow, and rediscover the joy of music."

Mission Statement

The mission of the Adult Flutist and Amateur Resources Committee is to foster a welcoming community offering resources, learning opportunities, and artistic growth for adult flutists who have not made music their primary career. We support dedicated amateurs, from accomplished players to novices and those returning to the flute after time away.

✨ Join Us for Community, Music, and Inspiration! ✨

This year we’re bringing the community together with virtual meetups and surveys to hear what excites YOU most. Open to all flutists who want to connect, share, and grow! Plus, our committee planning sessions are a chance for your ideas and energy to help shape future events.

At the convention, you’ll have the chance to take part in:

  • Adult Masterclass – learn, play, and be inspired by expert guidance
  • Adult Flute Choir – make music together in a warm, welcoming community

A Look Back at NFA 2025

This year’s convention, Unity and Universal Oneness, was nothing short of extraordinary! The Adult Flute Choir, led by the incredible Wendy Webb, brought together over 60 passionate flutists. Several composers even joined us during rehearsal and the performance, making the experience unforgettable.

The audience was captivated as our Adult Amateur Flute Choir took the stage. This year’s program, “With a Little Help From My Friends”, truly lived up to its name—our music shone brightest through the spirit of friendship and community that brought it to life.

✨ Stay tuned for more opportunities to play, learn, and celebrate music with us. Who knows? The next highlight could feature you!
