Join the NFA in a new initiative to share innovative research and ideas from the flute community!

Now Accepting Abstracts for Poster Sessions

The visual format of the poster allows researchers to display their concepts succinctly and invite conversation. During scheduled poster sessions, authors will be present to discuss their work with attendees.

The deadline is February 15, 2019. Applicants will be notified of a decision by April 1, 2019.

Attend the Convention for Free

The Frances Blaisdell Scholarship, open to U.S. high school and college students, provides $1,000 toward NFA convention expenses and a complimentary one-year membership to the NFA. Ideal candidates are serious flute students who are eager to experience all that the NFA convention has to offer but whose financial situation prevents them from attending. Applications must be submitted by February 19, 2019. Please note this deadline is earlier than previous years. Learn more.
"I had an unbelievable time at my first NFA Convention in Orlando, thanks to support from the Frances Blaisdell Scholarship. Blaisdell was a trailblazer for female flutists and it was an honor being part of her legacy through this scholarship."
