Fall Issue of The Flutist Quarterly Coming Soon

In this issue, learn about the life and works of Anna Bon di Venezia, a critically heralded 18th-century composer whose work is rarely performed today—but ought to be. Also inside: Another article looking at past masters describes Giulio Briccialdi, “the Paganini of the Flute," six performer-composers discuss their craft and encourage flutists to try writing music themselves, and the departing NFA Young Artist Competition coordinator offers advice to aspiring contenders. Finally, we offer a special section reviewing the first half of a new edition featuring the complete works of the Doppler brothers.
